when will i ever turn off the ac

it's been a long summer of high electric bills. This is unusual for living on the ocean. Here it is mid sept. and the ac is going and it is so humid out. Ack. By now I should be enjoying that nice ocean breeze at least at night.

Our weather is so all over the place, you can never count on when you'll need ac or heat. Sometimes we use both within a couple of days.

I waiting for that day too. I just go my most recent electric bill and I can't wait to see it go under $200!!!

I know, I just broke down this morning and turned it back on after having it off for about a week or so. Even with the 90 degree weather we had earlier this week, it wasn't so bad, because the humidity was low and it got really cool at night, but last night was awful and so was this morning, I had to give in.

I just paid my electric bill--$107 !!! That's a lot for us.

I broke down and turned on my AC today, too. It hasn't been on for at least a couple of weeks. It's usually out of the window by now, but my DH has a problem with his sciatica so couldn't take it out last weekend. I'm waiting for my next electric bill. Last month was my highest ever - $150, but that was partly because we were running a dehumidifer nonstop in the cellar after we got flooded out down there.

I had my a/c on today too. It was very muggy here, even though it was raining.

I wish I had access to AC. I'm in a third floor dorm room. We have two small fans going. In my first week here (I've been here for 3 now) I killed 2 fans. I'm going home tomorrow and praying that my AC is still in my window at home. It won't be exceptionally hot this weekend, but the humidity really gets to me. Sleeping with the window open here every night has also been a problem, since it makes my allergies worse.

It is still so hot and humid here as well. My DH does HVAC and he is still getting request for installations for AC units. Not feeling too much like fall right now?

I am going to guess that the AC is on here most of the time. Only been here since April so we are waiting to see...
