Hello all,

I apologize because I know this has been answered many times on the Board but I can't seem to find any of the threads, even when the search function is working.

Does anyone know when the renovations at Dolphin are scheduled to be completed? Does anyone know the renovation schedule?

Thanks,

When we were there in april i inquired and was told that renovations weren't starting untill june.

We were at the Dolphin March 2003 - in room 8029 balcony room facing epcot - and on the day we were checking out there were guys coming in to measure our room. I think it was for carpet -
irregardless, that was just such a great view and such a lovely balcony that I was perfectly happy with the room as it was - WHAT more can you want from a Disney hotel room than great transportation, a great pool/slide, a chair whenever you need one by the pool, not overrun with munchkins screaming/crying/pooping/dropping cheerios for you to squish between your toes, great rates, OH! the hammocks on the sand, OH OH OH OH the Epcot ball straight out our window and a perfect view of Illuminations each night - It was our best vacation ever....even without renovations I prefer Dolphin over the renovated Swan. I like a grand lobby. I had heard horror stories about the decorations at the Dolphin rooms - but they really were fine. I don't know what everyone was freaking about. Perhaps it was the balcony that made the room - well that and the fabulous view - and when we go back I will specifically ask for that room again - hey, don't sweat over renovations. Get my balcony room and you'll be Disney happy. Really.

Ashley's mom,

did you request your room? If so, how did you go about doing that? Did you stay Club Level?

Thanks for the help!

... and I specifically asked when the renovations would be completed. They said "sometime in 2004." I noticed that some of the lower floor rooms had new beds in them as I was walking by... I would imagine that it would take a lot of time to renovate all the rooms at this place, however -- it is HUGE!

Our room, despite the fact that it hadn't been renovated yet, was very nice. We were in 093 on the 15th floor (I believe). We had a fabulous view of the Epcot fireworks, MGM and the Swan/Dolphin fountains. I would definitely stay there again even without the renovations!!

Take care,
Sarah
