When will '09 dates be released?

As above this is one of the other cruise lines trips to the Eastern Caribbean

MAPCARRIBEAN.gif

Will we see something like this released this week?

Hopefully after waiting such a long time, we will find out something within days now!

Figures crossed!

Come on DCL.

Yea, still holding my breath here Andrew.....................:lmao:

I think I have been holding mine a bit too long I am blue in the face!

Hopefully, if all the reports are right we will see something in days, maybe my in-box will be full of e.mails from Travel Agents in the morning with details!

Come on Webmaster, you usually come up trumps by now!

Just as a reminder, what months do you expect the special cruises to take place. Is it typically the summer months like July thru August?

We are going to San Juan and Tortola in 2 weeks on Celebrity Millennium!

I think the special cruises usually go Mid May through to Mid \ Late August.

Still waiting with baited breath hoping for Europe in 2009!

Come on DCL put us out of our misery!!!!!!

Here's a thought. Maybe they will add a couple of islands to the normal Eastern and do 9-night cruises followed by a 5-night similar to the one after the EB Repo next year. That will get them 14 nights and can just keep that schedule all summer.

They could also do that on the Western if they throw all ports on one cruise - Key West, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Cozumel along with an extra Sea Day or 2 CC stops.

Then they will still be doing Eastern and Western with additional stops and still giving a nice 5 night alternative to go with the 3 and 4 nighters (which maybe you could throw a 7-nighter in every other week with Bermuda in the mix - and maybe a double CC).

Just thoughts.

Here is what they could do:

9 Night Eastern
Sat - Port
Sun - Sea
Mon - Sea
Tue - St Maarten
Wed - Antigua
Thu - BVI
Fri - St. Thomas
Sat - Sea
Sun - Castaway
Mon - Port

You could also drop a port on Tue, Wed or Thu and do CC on the first Sun and make it a double dip.

9 Night Western
Sat - Port
Sun - Castaway
Mon - Key West
Tue - Sea
Wed - Grand Cayman
Thur - Costa Maya
Fri - Cozumel
Sat - Sea
Sun - Castaway
Mon - Port

5 Night Special
Mon - Port
Tue - Castaway
Wed - Nassau
Thu - Sea
Fri - Castaway
Sat - Port

Love the nine nighter Eastern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the 5 Night would interfere with the current 4 Night stop to Castaway, they could just make all the 4-nighters Double Dips and go do as follows:

4 Night
Sun - Port
Mon - Castaway
Tue - Nassau
Wed - Castaway
Thu - Port

3 Night
Thu - Port
Fri - Nassau
Sat - Castaway
Sun - Port

They could keep the Wonder on this schedule or take it out for 7 nights every once and a while and sail up to Bermuda.

Do you think they will include the December 26, 2009 cruise if/when they release the whole year? I am hoping so - I REALLY don't want to wait a whole year to plan and that is when we want to book our next cruise (i.e. after the Feb 2008 one that is coming up really soon! :thumbsup2 )

Can anyone comment on NYE cruises - do they come out of the gate expensive, and do they fill up quickly, or can I wait and book in February?

I'm sure they will. The sail date is in 2009.

The 12/27/2008 Western ends on 1/3/2009 and it is currently showing on DCL's site (and was released with the 2008 dates).

I've been waiting eagerly for these dates. We booked a "dummy" cruise while on our 4-day last March. We want to do a 7-day in March 2009 and had thought the dates would be out by now. I figured I'd better subscribe to this thread so I can stay up-to-date.

Andy Verandah man has pointed out.

CEO, Tom McAlpin is on the Wonder and NOT the Magic, this would put him on Castaway Cay on Tuesday,!

So I missed the discussion about when the announcement would be made i.e. port day or not -are you saying you think the announcement will be on Castaway Cay day or NOT then because they are on CC?

I'm armed and ready with preferential staterooom numbers in case they get released today!!

I said MAYBE Tom McAlpin is on the Wonder and not the Magic after seeing this on another site:

.......MouseFest Cruise 2007 Day-by-Day:

Sunday 12/2/07 – MouseFest Cruise departs
Monday 12/3/07 – MouseFest Cruise – Nassau
Tuesday 12/4/07 – MouseFest Cruise – Castaway Cay
Wednesday 12/5/07 – MouseFest Cruise – At Sea
Thursday 12/6/07 – MouseFest Cruise ends

I was thinking maybe an announcement might be made Tuesday from Castaway Cay. Just my wild guess...........:rotfl:

You know they could go double dip eastern itineraries. Several years ago because of hurricanes we were fortunate enough to have a double dip eastern. The itinerary was:
Sun: CC
Mon: Sea
Tue: San Juan
Wed: St. Thomas
Thu: Sea
Fri: CC

We loved this itinerary!!
