When are we going to get a 10% discount on annual passes. Never, I guess. For those who have enough points to stay longer than a week, which is most of us, the UMP pass is undesirable even with the discount. I spoke with a Vacation Club CM at the Beach Club in December who said that if enough members requested this discount, Disney would most likely give it to us. She said that at the present time, the Vacation Club is Disney's most profitable business. (I do not know if this is actually true, or just the CM's pride in her association with the Vacation Club). In any event, I hope someone on this board can tell me to whom I should write a letter, make a phone call, or bribe? My very large family needs this small discount before our next vacation, our 17th, at Disney next February.

hi: here's what i've been doing for many years. i was a magic kingdom club member for years (back when they gave it free to shareholders) and have always used that to purchase our annual passes. now that it's disney club, i use that to buy our passes. it pays for itself via our savings on passes and disney store purchases. i doubt that ms will give us a discount on aps- although that makes more sense to me personally. for us, the new magic years pass does not work well.

I would start by asking MS if they have a complaint/suggestion area or person that you can call and write to. I think I have heard on this board that there is an association manager (since we are similar to a condo association) or something to that effect. MS, I would think, should be able to tell you who that is and how to contact them. It is possible to QA (Quality Assurance) area may be able to help as well.. In the mean time, since it is not likely something like what you are asking is going to happen anytime soon, you could always bite the bullet and pay the $30 for the Disney Club card. The savings on the passes alone will pay pay for it. Better to get a little discount than none at all

just e mail member services. they will direct it to the right person...

I thought they might give us free DC memberships when that program began. They didn't. I think the pass issue is dead with the Magic Pass being their best offer.

Of course you can write to DVC with your suggestion. It can't hurt to ever express opinions and ideas to DVC Management.

FYI, DC does offer discounts on both the AP and the PAP, not much, ~$20 each, but for the $35 annual fee, 2 AP's pay for the card and ensuing discounts...

Another pass that would be nice for DVC members is the seasonal annual pass. Currently, only FL residents can get it but we only like to go in the off season.
