Would those of you who are there now, or have just returned mind sharing when Xmas 'disappeared'?
We are altering our normal early Dec. visit to accommodate a college schedule next year, but hope to still enjoy some decorations while avoiding the Dec. 26 - Jan. 1 crowds.
thx.

Disney will begin removing the Holiday decorations on 1/6 this year, but it is a slow and gradual process. I went to WDW 1/14/10 through 1/19/10 (during Martin Luther King weekend) and the Magic Kingdom was still decorated on the day of our arrival, including the big tree in Town Square. In 2010, I was told by a cast member that due to serious cold snap central Florida just had, they needed to prioritize saving the plants and flowers over removing the Holiday decorations. About half of the decorations were gone by the day we checked out.

They have already removed them from many of the hotels as of New Year's Day.

We were there that week of the unusually cold temps. Brrr!

From what I've read, they started taking down some of the resort decorations on 1/2 this year. That's too bad since Christmas doesn't end until Jan. 6, but I suppose that's what most people do in their homes these days, remove everything Christmas on New Years Day.
