When was your GTY reservation assigned a room #?

Just curious...if you've ever booked a GTY room, when did you finally get your room assignment???

We are cat. 5 GTY for the EB repo, and I keep checking the website but nothing has changed. Guest services says it can be anytime between now and boarding, but I'd like to know when others have actually gotten their cabin. Has anyone really had to wait until embarkation day?

We were on the WB Repo - wish I was going on the EB, too!

We originally booked a Cat 9 GTY because that's all we could get at the time. We were assigned our stateroom number 30 days before our sailaway date, and then managed to upgrade to a Cat 5.

OMG! We have the same situation! I booked cat.9 in mid May - the only thing I could get - but I called over and over and sure enough within a week a cat. 5 opened up so we upgraded! We really wanted the verandah for the canal crossing.

We had booked DAY 1 that ressies opened on the Mex Riv 8/10 cruise. But we had done that itinerary on another cruise line so as it got closer, we reconsidered and decided to switch to the repo. I'm so glad we did! One week WOULD NOT have been enough for me

Generally, GTY cabin numbers are assigned at about 30 days out. Technically it can happen at any time, but I wouldn't expect it before then. We have an 11 GTY for the repo and are patiently waiting as well.

It can happen at any time, and a lot of people on the E/bound have recently had room assignments for August, It can be as late as embarkation day, some people have posted here with pictures of GTY luggage tags.

They seem to start 'bulk' assigning at the Paid in full mark, and fill in the gaps to cruise date. But it can happen anytime.

The last time I cruised GTY, I was assigned at 60 days out.

Its nothnig to worry about you will be on the cruise.

We went June 15th. Our friends were GTY Cat 6. They didn't get a room number until they arrived and checked in, but lucky them, they were upgraded to a Cat 4 and were on the same deck opposite side of the ship from us. So, maybe you too will be lucky.
