I don't mean sniffle sick, I mean praying to the porcelain gods sick!

For me, it was last night.... and I'm still not feeling well this morning.

How about you?

TODAY!! Praying to the porcelin gods at 445am this morning. Thank god for Zofran otherwise I would have been useless today!

It's been about a year since I was doing the Technicolor Yawn. But I caught a bad cold in mid-March that turned into bronchitis, and I had that for about a month. I still wake up at night coughing. DW really appreciates that. :sad2:

I'm glad I didn't catch it this month, or I would've been worried about the Swine Flu.

I had the flu last week. I am still coughing a bit, but feel much better.

Last week Tuesday . I made the mistake of telling the DIS to pray for me and got whipped because everyone thought I had the swine flu..... since I'm not all that concerned about it I didn't even realize that throwing up was a symptom! :scared:

Hope you feel better and be grateful that mess is not front page news anymore!

I can't really remember the last time I actually threw up. I think it was when I had food poisoning when I was in high school.

Otherwise, there have been times (quite a few) when I felt like I was going to, but never have.

1994 - I can remember for sure because I had just started my new job a month or so prior to getting sick and I had no paid time off!

Last time I was sick was probably in November of 07. REALLY bad sore throat (it may have been strep, but not sure), and just that icky sick feeling. Once I got on antibiotics I was better within hours.

I remember that thread from last week. You really took a beating. Glad you are all better now.

That wasn't why - it was because everyone said it was unfair on other passengers to get on board a plane with a sickness bug (given that sickness bugs are some of the most contagious illnesses known to man and planes are a captive environment).

I had it the other way just over a week ago, all weekend (and it was a holiday weekend too - what a waste!). It was nasty. I caught up on my reading though :rotfl:

For me it was the day after Christmas last year.
DD had it on Christmas day, I had it the next day, and DPartner had it the day after that. It was horrible! I seriously was wishing I would die at one point.
I absolutey HATE being throw-up sick. Give me anything else in the world and I can function. But not a stomach bug. :scared:

New Years... not because of alcohol. Because my whole family got the flu (or some sort of virus) It lasted days and it was one of the sickest times I'd ever been. Still pregnant, I had to be taken to the hosptial for IVs for dehydration. My DS at 11 months had IVs (pitiful) and I slept on the bathroom floor....

Dec 22-23, 2008. Easy for me to remember. My oldest 2 kids started it, within hours DD4 had it. By about 11 that night, I started feeling bad. DH told me to go to bed and he kept vomit watch on the kids. 2 am, I was in the bathroom, over and over again. The problem was that I was 37 weeks pregnant with number 5 and dehydration can induce labor. I started trying to keep gatorade down when contractions started at noon on the 23rd. Didn't work. DH came home from the store where he was buying more gatorade to try to help me. Went to the dr, confirmed that I was in labor. They told me good luck and they hoped I would make it to the hospital. (I had been in labor about 2 1/2 hrs). Had to go home, drop off the kids and wait a little for someone to come sit with them, DH took off like a maniac to the hospital (keep in mind I am dehydrated, feel terrible, and having contractions). Ended up calling the EMS because I couldn't breath who took me the rest of the way to the hospital. 28 min after arriving, there was little Rubie. :lovestruc Thankfully, my water hadn't broken and they were able to get some fluids and electrolites in me and I was able to make it thru delivery. No time for an epidural. Quite an adventure.

Oh, and the family came to us since we had a baby and it was Christmas. Yep, they caught the bug and instead of being able to rest, our house was filled with vomit from everyone else. We, of course, hadn't had time to disinfect since I was still sick when I went into labor.

Then came bronchiolitis, RSV, and the baby just had another stomach bug. She's had quite a life.

No one will forget the stomach bug of Christmas 2008!

Oh wow, you and your poor family. Hope things get better for you all soon.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that the reason DH was home was because he was out of work for 7 weeks due to back surgery. What a crazy life!

Wow - you win hun!!! :worship::worship:

Family vacation at AKL first week of February 2009. 6 of us in connecting rooms. Thank the Lord we had two toilets and numerous trash cans between the two rooms. We call it our $7000 dollar gift from Disney. Nothing beats running from room to room with a 2,5,11 and 13 year old going out/up both ends and doing the same yourself!!
What a waste of our hard earned $$ and our only vacation this year. It has totally put us off vacationing at WDW onsite.
