So, I've noticed people always want to know when the slowest times are. I'm curious about the worst times. So, tell us when you went that was absolutely crowded--maybe even took away some of the magic. Give one or two specific examples of what made it seem bad (wait times. attraction you were unable to see, parade viewing, etc).

TIA

Oh, and I know I need to take my countdown off since I've been back for almost a month, darn it all, I still feel like I'm off making memories!

The busiest time I ever went was in March 2001. We didn't realize that it was spring break for Florida students, among other states, and it was wall to wall people! :crowded:

We still had a great time though!!! Our kids were little enough at the time that we didn't care if we rode Splash or Space Mtn. We just were there to do what the kids wanted to do. Even though I would prefer to not go again during spring break, I have wonderful memories from that trip!

Our second most crowded time was November 2002 during Jersey week. Very crowded!!

:sunny:

June 2000 was pretty busy and HOT.

I remember going in June of 75, when MK was the only park, and waiting over an hour to catch the monorail over to MK, then waiting 2 plus hours to get on Space Mountain, an hour to get on 20000 Leagues, an hour to get in HM and POC. I remember long lines for COP and "if you had wings." This was back during the "e-ticket" days.

I stay away from WDW during holidays and peak vacation periods.

Spring Break 2002. Absolutely nuts! This was the week right after Easter. That was when we decided to make our trips in the fall. The parks were to capacity, wait times at the extreme (over 60 minutes or more) and people just didn't seem to be having a good time.

President's Day Weekend, 1999! It was at least as crowded as the middle of summer. Crowds everywhere, long wait for rides, etc. What made it worse was that we were clueless about the crowds until we were there and we were surprised! We still had a great time, but it was not what we had imagined.

Personally, it was 4th of July 1998. I went with some friends after high school graduation. I did none of the planning- basically just showed up at the airport. Yes, it was super crowded. And there was no Fastpass. But, we had a blast. We were there for a week and I know we saw/did a lot. Sure we waited in line, but parks were open so late that we had time to do everything we wanted.

Thanksgiving Day 1999,. Tried to get from one side of MK to the other (at night) just before parade started. Took forever...

4th of July week 1982

Hot...

Humid...

A gazillion people...

Looooooooooong lines (pre-Fastpass era)...

Have never been back in the summer since then & have no plans to do so ever again!!!! :teeth:

I don't remember the exact years but the two most crowded times I can remember were Easter Week and 4th of July.

During the Orange Bowl in 2001, and my Dad's OU hat and shirts were not exactly making us too many friends, though Miami fans were meaner than Fl. State ones. Go figure?:confused3

Jersey Week 2000 was busiest total week I've seen. Especially since we were totally clueless. There was also a night on one of our end of May trips where I thought we were going to be crushed to death. Even CMs were saying how they had never seen it so busy. They opened up back exits in MK to prevent anyone from getting hurt.

The Saturday before Christmas 2002. I think it was Dec. 22. We had been there for a week at that point, and the crowds had started out nonexistent and had gradually built all week. That Saturday evening we were trying to get out of MK shortly before the parade started (I know, bad idea, but we didn't plan to do it that way) and we literally couldn't move for a while. The crowd was packed so tight there was no way to move, and we were shoved up against a mass of bodies. I'm not usually claustrophobic, but I was then! We finally managed to squeeze our way past the logjam of people and worked our way through the Main Street stores to get to the front of the park and out.

I understand the crowds were even worse the next week (between Christmas and New Year). I can't imagine, and I'm glad I wasn't there to see it!

Christmas season 2003--apparently we were there during one of the highest attendance Christmas', definately the peak Epcot attendance day on NYE (we just walked from gates to International Gateway, could barely move -- saw 5 hour waits for TT from the monorail!). Still had a great time.

Easter weekend in 84!

The waite for Space Mountain was 2 hours I think. All I know is that the line for this attraction was 100 yards out from the building.

The week between Christmas and NY's, 2003. Decorations were beautiful but I probably will never go back during that time.

We have been there twice when it was really busy. First time was Thanksgiving week of 2000. Went to bed on Tuesday and woke up on Wednesday with crowds that were unbelievable. Second time was Christmas to New Years week 2003/2004. Wait times for many attractions were well over 1 hour and to top it off, we took my sister and her family who had never been before.

We have also been during the Easter and July 4th time frames but Thanksgiving and Christmas was the worst for us.

Hoping that the first week in April 2005 won't be too bad.

There was an hour long line at 6am to enter EPCOT!

All the parks except AK closed by lunchtime, although they made sure hotel guests could go into a park.

It was CRAZY but fun!

We went to the big party at CA Grill that night to avoid the park crowds and it was AWESOME.

The most incredible fireworks ever.

Y'all are scaring me now!! :earseek: We're going the week between Christmas and NY this year! I'm very nervous about how crowded it's going to be....

But, before this coming trip, I would have to say July 4th 1989. It was HOT and VERY crowded during that time!! It didn't help that we were with people that didn't even like Disney:(

definitely the week between Christmas and New Years last year. before lunch the wait for Mission Space was over 4 hours, test track close to the same. 45 minutes for Spaceship Earth. MK was worse at peak times. I will say there was no magic lost for us though! We didn't have any of those wait times. The advice from TGM kept our wait times under 20 minutes all week. :)
