When was Disboards created?

I used the dis to plan our 95 or 97 trip. Found it when I was searching for reviews about the hotel we were staying in. The first big tip I loved.....using a towncar could cost us as much as Mears...we jumped on that one and never lookded back until DME.

I think I was here in 98 for years and years! I moved two years and switched emails and everything else. I lost track of the DIS then. I finally came back on last year with a new email and screen name., I couldn't remember what mine was! It was about Daisy though. I probably have 10,000 posts but since I got my new name I look like a newbie!

Yup. It's still the same old cesspool is became in the 1990s. I check in there every few months, just to keep the D&Gers marginally honest.

I've been around on the boards since fall 97. I remember when it used to still be able to name everyone currently looking at the boards at the bottom of the page...usually about 60-70 at a time...

I keep loosing my names when I loose email accounts and computers, ohh well.

I found the DIS Boards in late 1998 while I was planning our trip in April 1999 and also lost many posts during the big crash. I remember you didn't have to register and even remember my first post. It was a much more intimate site then. Kind of got to know people, most of whom are gone now! Whatever happened to Snoopy! I still remember her bridemaid's dress story for SIL's wedding. Anyone remember how popular the Inspiration Board was? I wasn't a big contributer then, but it was just as popular as the Community Board for awhile.

I found this site back in 1998 I was researching for a trip in 1999. I had bought Rita Aero's book which gave you info on her website. After using that site for awhile I found a link to Pete's site and have used it ever since. I had lost my original pass word so I had to re-register in January of 2000.
I remember when there were not as many boards and Pete would answer alot of the questions on his own.
When I booked that trip in 1999 I paid rack rate for the GF, yikes ! Even the travel agents back then did not know how to apply the codes to exisiting reservations, boy have times changed.

I found these boards in 1998 when I was planning my first trip to WDW. Pete answered many questions himself, and I could remember ever member by heart. My favorite memory is the chat room when Pete and the gang would have virtual tours of the parks. Epcot was my favorite because I kept running into the bars to sample the various virtual drinks
