I had been wondering why it wasn't a Zavvi and then we came back home after our trip in Dec to find that they were going under too

I'm always the last to find out stuff.

Hopefully it'll be something fun, not sure that they could do anything different but maybe expand on some thing?

It might make a good music/entertainment venue?

It is a large space. ESPN Club has been a speculation for a long time to go in over at the West Side. It was supposed to replace Disney Quest..

Dave and Buster's and Disney Quest are kind of the same. I would say, they would have to shut down Disney Quest if they are signing a contract for D&B. And I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. The Virgin Mega store is a large space. I have only been in there once. I am not sure how a D&B would fit there. I don't think they have the space to put a D&B on one level like their other locations. I haven't seen a 2 level location for them. Not to say that wouldn't work.

I'd like to see a Firkin Pub go there. It's a chain of resturants with good food & good beer. There are allegedly some coming to the Orlando area, and DW & I think DTD would be the perfect spot for one. We really enjoyed the one we've been to so far in Niagara Falls.

Were I the one making the decisions (and I'm sure there's a good amount of people who are glad I'm not!!! ) I definitely wouldn't replace Disney Quest. I think they need to be really careful about soemthing like this.

I really like Dave and Busters, but something like Disney Quest is unique. If people can do something at home, chances are, they may not want to do it on their vacation, especially if it is a short vacation and they are trying to cram as much in as possible. I have a Dave and Busters at home, therefore, I'd rather do something at WDW that I CAN'T do at home.

On the topic though, it is kind of sad to see that Virgin Megastores are closing everywhere. I didn't really go there a lot, but it's still sad.

I think a D&B and Disney Quest could co-exist somewhat. Since DQ is a pay per entry place w/o sit down dining people who want to spend a day there just for games would prefer it. However, if you want food and maybe just to spend $10 on games (rather than the 40ish DQ price), D&B wouldbe great. Maybe they would change some of the games up in DQ so they don't duplicate. It'd also be nice to have a sports bar downtown

I'm really going to miss Virgin. We usually went in for a few min. on each trip. I spend alot of time in that store during my CP. As for D&B, I wouldn't be likely to frequent a D&B at DTD. We have one in Pittsburgh. When I'm on vacation, I try to do things that I can't do at home. That's just me...maybe there are others that don't have a D&B near them that would go or would just go for dinner.

As a fan of the D&B at The Waterfront, I want a D&B in Orlando. DW & I really like it there, and that's one of the things we miss most about living in Tampa now...We had one in Pittsburgh when I lived there, and another in Cleveland after I moved up there...we're now both in Tampa, where the nearest D&B is some 4 hours away. If it were in DTD, that would be nice. I'd settle for anywhere in Orlando though

I love D&B, but I agree it's too similar to DQ. (Except for the full bar, I guess!)

I don't know what I'd like to see in that space, though...

I'm sad all the Virgin Megastores are closing... I have a lot of fond memories of visiting the location in Times Square.

When the Virgin Megastore around here closed it became a Best Buy. I personally like having an electronics store in downtown disney

first off ... i am so sad about virgin closing. i used to work for HMV which has also gone under here in the usa. the music business is frusterating. virgin had alot of really nice unique merchandise that i enjoyed purchasing on my disney trips. i would love to see something wayy more unique than dave & busters there. i work for H&M and id be okay with us opening a store there! hell .. id even come work there!

I know there are already a few in Orlando, but I could definately see our companies largest share holder swoop in, and put in a massive Apple store. I know they said the new House of the future in DL is like a advertisement for current technology. It would be awsome if Steve Jobs went ahead, and took it a step further, and turn the upstairs into a showcase of possible future projects and what not. Just my opinion on what could possibly fill this massive area.
