When using hotwire. . . when do you look?

Ok, we're leaving for disney November 17 but our ressies at the contemporary until the 19th. I'm looking for something nice but cheap and HAVE had times when I got a good deal through priceline or hotwire. However, I was told others got MUCH, MUCH lower rates. So what helps enough. . . trying this early or waiting till real late?
