We will be visiting Aug 9-16 (Thursday to Thursday, so those are not park days) with 5 day hoppers. Trying to decide which day to take as our non-park day: Sunday or Monday? And which day to use MM: Saturday or Tuesday?
Any thoughts?
When DL opens at 8AM and MM is at 7AM, my experience is that each day you get more tired and MM should be used on the first possible day.
However, if you are taking a day off, I would do that Monday and try very hard to be back to your hotel early and able to get to bed as early as possible. Then use MM on Tuesday.
Sunday as your non-park day as being a weekend day there is more opportunity for local folks to visit on that day. Also, many exhausted folks fly out Monday afternoon, so that morning may fine that your rest on Sunday, may give you advantage in moving with more strength about Disneyland. I don't necessarily mean faster, but a day of rest tends to help with the pace and tendency to avoid benches. When riding ART, I can always tell the folks from who have just arrived to the folks finishing day 5 of their visit.
