Let me start by saying, we love the Fort having stayed there two out of our 5 Disney Trips! Last year with the high fuel cost we stayed at Pop during Free Dining and loved it! Now this year I am debating between going in the middle of July for my DD's 9th birthday(surprising her of course), or returning to the Fort for Halloween. For those of you who haven't gone to the Fort for Halloween it's just something you have to do once to see what it's all about!
The girls loved Trick or Treating through the Fort on the Golf Cart and just looping to see all the decorations everyone hauls down. The only thing, well 2 things that have me doubting July is, a) the heat in Fla. during July, b)the crowds. When we went for Halloween, the crowds are minimal. When we went for Free Dining last year in Sept. at Pop it was for my oldest DD's birthday! So you know eventually I have to do it for the youngest DD.
Which way should I lean to? Either way a trip to Disney is a blast!!
Thanking you in advance for any help you can send my way!

We'll be there in July, for what it's worth. I LOVE the summer in Disney. Someday I'll get there some other time of year (and someday I'll work at WDW), but for right now, the summer's all we've got.

Good luck deciding. :)

I live here and don't want to go in July, way too hot. Oct would get my vote.

Oct is what I am really leaning towards, but DD wants to go for her B-day!
Maybe I can hook a deal on Spirit and just take her down for like 2 days, and then book a longer trip for Oct at the Fort! Oh is my husband going to love my logic on this one:rotfl2: "but it's for her birthday! It'll be cheaper than the cost of the counselling we'll have to go through if we don't do it!!":lmao:

Two trips - that would be my answer! I usually go around the end of October. The weather is great and the crowds are smaller - at least they used to be. Now with the food and wine festival it's been getting more crowded in October. Hmmm! Perhaps November or December this year.

If I had to choose between a free vacation in July and spending a year's worth of entertainment budget to go in October, I'd choose October. Crowds and weather, no thanks. Just my 2¢

:santa:
