When to purchase trip package?

We are planning a DL trip for May 2010. The package will have to include airfair and a stay at DLR with park hopper passes. My question is how far out should I book it? Six months, 3 months or somewhere inbetween? Are there 'specials' announced at certain times of the year?

Any help would be appreciated.

we always book by march, there seems to be awesome deals then. we are going in August this year, and booked march, got 99 dollar one way flights to!
