When to purchase tickets

We are from Canada and I have a few questions about when and how we should purchase our tickets. We have rented DVC points and are staying at AKL. Our last trip was 2 years ago and when we went then we just purchased our park tickets when we checked in. That was before FP+. I have heard that because we are in Canada we will not be able to have our magic bands shipped to us. Sooo, the big question is how are we going to book our fast passes? We are going in October, the 6th to the 14th, perhaps we won't need to book to early?

Buy tickets well in advance of 60 days before your check-in date.
You can order them from Disney World or buy them at the Disney Store or order from any of the third party authorized ticket resellers/discounters like www.undercovertourist.com

MagicBands are NOT REQUIRED in any way to book or use FP+.

MagicBands are just a new way to access what used to be (and still CAN be) accessed
using just a flat plastic ticket.

You only need to connect your tickets and your WDW resort reservations to your MyDisneyExperience file and you can make FP+ reservations as early as 60 days before your check-in date.
