When to purchase After Hours/Christmas Party tickets?

We will be at WDW from December 6th-December 14th and have decided to do Disney After Hours and MVMCP. I have an AP to get discounted tickets. I have priced tickets through Disney and Undercover Tourist with the Mousesavers discount and will buy the Christmas Party through Undercover Tourist and the After Hours tickets through Disney with the AP discount. My question is, since the weather in Florida can be hit-or-miss, when should we purchase the tickets to the two events? I don't want to get shut out, but I also don't want to waste money. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have already bought my tickets to MVMCP and disney after hours for our december trip. If you know you want to do both events it is better to buy now or risk them being sold out.

It’s not really apples to apples, but FWIW MNSSHP had a rash of sellouts during this year’s season - far more than we’ve seen the last three years.

MVMCP is sort of a different deal, but it’s very popular and there is less supply (fewer dates). I’d be moderately concerned with a sell out as it’s certainly possible.

I’m less concerned with a DAH sellout as most tend to not sell out (especially DAK). But, that’s not advice you can take to the bank either as sell outs can happen. But following past patterns, it is less likely for DAH.

Good luck.

Agree with other posters. If you know when you want to go, I would get the tickets now. While MVMCP doesn't sell out as often as MNSSHP does, it does happen.
