When to present your TIW card?

we were just at WDW last week - used our TIW card numerous times (character meals for the grandsons) we never experienced a problem with sevice it was always very good. When asked about the dinning plan we always said no we don't have the dining plan but do have a TIW card. Servers were alway cheerful and said give us the card at the end of the meal. Worked great. think the card is definately worth it

Yes, this is what we have done, but I was just wondering since it's been said it isn't mentioned until the end of the meal. And I was wondering why. Thanks.

The only time I will say anything about TiW before receiving the check is if I am with people who are on DDP. Then I will tell the server at the start that anything not allowable on DDP (appetizers, drinks, etc.) should be on my check.

I recently got the TIW card and used it for our Via Napoli ressie earlier this month. I didn't notice any difference in the service that our table received versus the other tables our waiter waited on (some of which were regular OOP diners and the rest were DDP). I can't see why a waiter would treat a TIW diner any different than a regular person. :confused3 I've seen a lot of people mention their service changed after mentioning TIW. It boogles my mind how that would change the service. But at least I can say that so far with my one experience I haven't seen any difference in services.

Oh as for when to present it, our server asked if we were on the DDP or had any discounts. We told him we had the TIW and he said he would just take the card when he brings us the check.

You really do not understand why someone who mentioned TiW card before a meal could possibly (not always) get poor service? Really? It boggles your mind? I will PM you...I am sitting on my hands, trying to NOT type the reason.:scared1: Please read Tricia1972 (the moderator's) post....it's just a few posts up.
