When to order groceries

I hope someone can help me! We are going to stay at CBR in Sept., how far in advance should I order groceries? I haven't decided between garden grocer and wego shop but I don't want to have the date fill up before I order. I spoke with garden grocer today because I was inquiring about beer and wine orders and they menitoned to order two weeks ahead of time. That sounds like its cutting it close to me but I thought I'd ask you guys what you think!

Last year I ordered at just about the two week mark. The groceries were in our room when we checked in (which was at something like 2 AM, because of our flight!) and put away. Very nice. What I didn't like was that some things I had ordered apparently weren't available, and I didn't get any notice about that. So, the next morning (or the same morning, depending on how you look at it!) I was going crazy searching for the bacon, but there was none. But they hadn't charged me for it either.

I emailed gardengrocer the same question yesterday, as we'll be traveling in October. I got the same- 2 week- response. I may do it at 3-4 weeks before just to be safe.

During free dining gardengrocer's delivery slots can fill up very early/quickly. I would order now to secure the time/day you want. You can always call to add/cancel items...they are great to work with!

Are there any other grocery delivery servies such as these, but nationwide? We are traveling for 14 days to San Antonio and I will need items for DD13 who is s diabetic? TIA

She said to add the beer and wine request at the end of the order (there is a notes field). She said to be very specific about brand and size and that would be no problem!

Does anyone know if you can order liquor? Like a bottle of rum or something? I'm not a big fan of beer or wine, but a nice mixed drink could be nice.

I would think they would get liquor as long as it is sold at the store where they shop.
I know with wegoshop you can request which store they shop at, and they will stop a multiple stores so I am sure they would be able to if garden grocer couldn't.

With Garden Grocer, do you get charged when you place the order or when the purchase it for delivery? We are going in September, I would love to order now, but I would prefer to pay closer to our trip.

Here is what I did. If you place your order now you have to pay when you place the order UNLESS you select C.O.D (cash on delivery).

To secure my order time I placed my order and marked C.O.D but a week before I left I called and paid with my credit card over the phone...just told them I wouldn't be in my room at the time of delivery afterall. No problem.

I must stay, I am a planning freak.. I am staying in October and already ordered my groceries from garden grocer. I think I ordered them back in May.

Already paid for an everything - one less thing out of the way.

What do they do about stuff theat needs refrigated? Just thinking that if I am not there when they arrive, will my eggs sit out? Do they have a delivery box that keeps them cold??

Bell services will hold them in the Resort fridge.
