when to make ADRs

Can someone help me - I'm confused! Do you start making ADRs 180 days from the first day of your trip, or from the actual day you want the reservation? And is CRT 90 days ahead?

I believe it's the first day of your trip.

If staying on disney property you can book 180 days prior to 1st day of check in and then book up to 10 days of dining ressies after that. So if you wanted to book CRT you could make ADR at 180 day mark of 1st day. If staying offsite you can book at exactly 180 mark. The +10 is a perk for onsite guests.
