Please help me decide! DH agreed to do a 10 day visit next year:yay:, but I don't want DS7 missing too much school. There are 2 wks I am deciding between b/c DS has 1.5 days off both those weeks, so he'll only miss 3.5 days of school.
So, please give me the pros & cons for these 2 wks to help me decide.

Columbus Weekend thru the following week (Oct. 5-14)
OR
Presidents Weekend thru the following week (Feb. 15-24)

Is it still really humid in early Oct? Which week would be less crowded or are they about the same?

Thanks for all your help!:flower3:

I would think October would be better crowd-wise. October's still going to be warm, but usually not unbearable, but you'll have to worry about hurricane rains. Where are you travelling from? Do you have to worry about flights?

Also, do you mean February of 2012? If so, may be hard to find dining ressies, but there is free dining available then.

October for sure. You will have warm swimming weather. The food and wine at ecpcot and MNSSHP at MK. The crowds won't be too bad. I would not worry about hurricanes in Oct. Hurricanes are rare that late in the season.

We went from Feb 17th-Feb 24th this year, and we LOVED the weather at this time of year!!!! It may have been a fluke, but it was in the mid 80's every day, not one drop of rain, and settled into the high 60's at night (needed a sweatshirt), but we couldn't have asked for better weather. Crowds weren't too bad either for the most part. :goodvibes

Presidents Week is Winter Vacation week for lots of us up in the Northeast - so it can be VERY busy. If you are flying, you might want to check ticket prices for that time as well...my understanding is that airfare can be super expensive. I would 100% choose October.

I too am from the Northeast, and yes when we went in Feb this year, I almost decided not to due to the airfare...BUT, we ended up booking the entire trip through SW Vacations, which ended up reducing our $2400 airfare (if purchased alone) to some how $2700 for hotel (CBR) and airfare...then we were able to add tickets and had free dining as well. Total package w/trip insurance was $3900 for the 7 night, 8 day trip.

We have been to WDW in early Feb a few times so I am familiar w/the weather then. We are flying from Chicago & hurricanes hadn't even entered my mind. I am not going to worry abut it though.
I am leaning towards Oct b/c we haven't been during that time & I would love to see all the fall decorations. Plus, DH wants to visit F&W Fest. I just wanted to check weather & crowds for then b4 booking it.
