Personally, I would book around the first two weeks of May...this is after all spring breaks, and before school gets out. I don't think you could pay me enough to go during spring break!! but that's just me!

is that because of the crowds? what is the weather like during do the thunder storms start then or is that not until june time? thank you for your help its very valuble. im trying to make this an extra good trip as we lost a couple of days last year as i was poorly :sad2: and wasn't allowed to fly. so im trying to go at the best possibe time!

Yes, because of the crowds! :scared1: I wouldn't worry about the weather...it's something you can never predict. We went last May, and it rained a lot, but was told it was VERY UNUSUAL. October is during hurricane season, but we went and the weather was gorgeous! You could go in April and it rain....unfortunately, that's something you have to take your chances on, unless you can watch the weather and book at the last minute. :goodvibes You can google Orlando average rainfalls and see charts, but I found out by experience that you can only plan and wish for the best. But crowd-wise, I'd definitely stay away during March-April.

We just dis the week before march break and march break. Oh my god what a difference. March break was a nightmare. The cheerleaders are there too. We had a tornado nearby on the thur and it poured but that kept crowds down it didnt rain all day. Then the weather was great but that was march break. We usually go in oct sept and first 2 weeks in dec. Have gone in early jan. The crowds were good. You can go anytime of year and have either good or bad weather.

What dates in March are you referring to when you say "march break"? We are looking at a possible March 2011 trip.

We were at WDW in early March and the crowds were not bad. The U.S. Open for Cheerleading was during that week 3/5 - 3/7. When the open ended the cheerleaders came to WDW. So there were lots of groups of unsupervised teenage girls running in packs around the parks. But that means there's just more kids in parks. No big deal. Sure you might have a few more screams than necessary but they are still well behaved.

However, mid March begins the spring break for Florida and for that matter the Texas too. Who knows how many more of the southern states have spring break at the same time. We noticed that the waiting times had tripled in length for the week of March 14th compared to the first week of the month. We used the app "WDW Wait Times" on our I-Touch to compare the actual wait times we saw at the various rides when we were there in early March. Right now there is a 110 minute wait at TSM and Soarin and 45 minutes at Space Mountain and Expedition Everest. So you can see at Easter the wait times are lengthy too.

our march break is the canadian march break and usually is the same week every year give or take a day. So there are lots of canadians there also.

Unfortunately, each state, and even school districts in the same state, have different dates for Spring break. I know in Missouri, it was always the week of my oldest son's birthday (March 16th). Since some schools have Winter breaks too, their Spring breaks may not be until April. I think pretty much all of March thru mid-April is "Spring Break" at Disney.
