When to go???

We have never been to US, we were planning our first trip in June 2010.
We usually go to Disney in late August, would this be a better time of year to go to US instead of June? We plan on staying at RPR for 7 days.

We were at Universal this August 26-28. It was during the week and it was not really busy and not really empty. I thought it was a good attendance level.

However, next year, with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter open, it may be a completely different story. I think August would be better than June though if it is opening in late spring.

check the calendar for the value/low season.
it should be near the end of august, sept up to around the 7th of october.

look for the super saver rates when they come out.
those are the best discounts universal hotels have.
they can be booked by the general public.

low season is when the hotels have the cheapest rates.
and to get the super saver discount will bring those room rates even lower.

parks do close early during that time period.
but, not much with crowds in september so you can cover the parks a lot easier and faster than in the summer.

the discounted rates are listed on the UO hotel site.

and, if you aren't aware of it and call for making a room ressie, the TM will tell you about the SS rate.

it's just a matter of time for the first homie to post a thread to say, SS rates are out.

Except for the possible difference in hotel room prices it doesn't really matter when you go, that is the huge advantage front of the line access gives you. Just show your room key and lines no longer matter. If you're used to going to WDW in August then you alredy know what the weather will be like.
