:woohoo: Hi folks, I'm in the process of booking DLRP trip no.3!!!!!
This time we have a new baby in tow as well as DD now 4. At the minute i'm torn between 15 - 18 Dec (mon to thurs) and 13 - 16 jan (tues - Fri) staying in sequoia lodge. I know DD would love to see Santa but will it be very busy even though its during term and weekdays tho? anyone got any advice on which is best?

Hi!

I've never been at Christmas, but by all reports January is quieter...... I also think it would be nice because it would give you something to look forward to after Christmas.... :goodvibes

I would suggest you read some of the Trip Reports from the Trip Report sticky at the top of the board from December and January and see which you think sounds best!

January is definatly quieter and (I believe) the cheapest time of the year to go. If it was me then I would pick January but then I hate queueing for any rides so I'd always go for the quietest time.

just been reading the trip reports and i have to say December is very attractive. I know january will be quieter and DD hates to queue plus DS will only be 6 months and the more we can keep on the move the better. Price wise its only £40 more incl flights to stay in December. ARGHHHHHHHHH

I've been at an equivalent time to your December dates and found it was actually quieter than i expected - still some queuing but nothing more than 30 mins and that's for the coasters (except Peter Pan - but Peter Pan always has a 60 min queue irrespective of the time of yr).

The schools should still be in session so providing you stick to your midweek dates then it should be fine. It'll definately be busier in Dec than midweek in January, but shouldn't be too horrendous.

Weekends will be pretty busy though, so you have to stick to your midweek plans.

At that sort of price I'd go for December as the Christmas decorations alone would be worth the £40 difference

i'm definitely leaning towards december - the pics in the trip reports look fab! How visible is Santa? is he just in the parade or can you meet him etc..

You actually have 2 Santas to choose from!
Theres the traditional one, who has his own grotto for meet n greets in Frontierland, and then theres Santa Goofy, who also does meet n greets every day at the beginning of Main St, near the bandstand :lovestruc .

We're going in Dec. The Christmas season is wonderful!!! Can't wait to go:)

We'll be staying in Sequoia Lodge 15-19th of Dec:yay:
