When to go?

The choices are August with a 27 month old or end of January with a 32 month old and pulling 1 kid out of 4th grade and 1 out of 8th.

We have been in a similair situation....go in Aug (hot, humid-yuck-but free dining-summer vacation) or go in Jan-when we like-(smaller crowds- great weather) this time we chose Aug b/c our daughter will be going into the high school-7th grade & really don't feel it's a good idea as she will be in an accelerated class & way too tough to make up a 1 week of schoolwork. I also know that some of the schools have 1/2 days in Jan for regents week. That wouldn't be bad to take them out of school then. sorry-I guess I wasn't too much help!!!!!
