I have to take my summer holidays when the children break up in summer.
They normally break up around 20th July and go back 4th September. Looking at next summer holidays they break up on the 19th July (earlier than normal).
I know that the weather is very hot and humid as we've been to disney during the summer months before. We've always gone last week of July first 2 weeks in Aug. Does anyone think it's less busier if left until middle weeks in Aug coming home just before school opens? Saying that i always enjoy a few days rest when you arrive home!

I dont think you can win anytime in the school hols, US schools are off until about mid August. Then Disney do promotions like free dining for UK travellers in August thru to Free Dining for US travellers late August into Sept. Last August we were there for 25 nights 2nd-27th it maybe got slightly quieter the last week of our holiday but who knows for next year? I wish Disney would disclose day by day historical attendances.
I guess with the majority of US schools back mid August then it must be the better time to go then thru our schools returning in Sept.

We are trying August the first time this year due to my son's university commitments. I would imagine it will be as busy as it has been the last two times in July (last two weeks). The only thing I noticed a drop in was the amount of South America school parties in the second week.

As long as you are the parks early lines are not a problem.

Are the 6 week school holidays the only time you can go? The weather is much kinder in Sep/Oct time crowds are smaller and humidity is low.
