When to go to the MK?

We are going to be at Disney March 20-25. I was wondering if anyone knows if the MK is more crowded on Sunday or Monday. My husband hates crowds and would rather go when it may not be as crazy. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally during the off season, the MK is more crowded on the weekends. So Monday would probably be the best bet for smaller crowds. However, you are going during Spring Break season, so smaller crowds doesn't necessarily mean SMALL crowds at all.

Hope this helps! :earsboy: :earsboy:

Get there early! We were just there last Friday and this Monday. We got there early Friday and did all of Fantasy Land early, it wasn't too crowded. Then we hit other sections of the park and they weren't too bad. But later in the day when we ventured back into Fantasy Land it was horrible! Then we returned to MK on Monday, hitting the other areas early in the day. No lines, rode Splash Mountain twice, no wait, rode BTMR 3 times, no wait. Then we ventured into Fantasy Land at about 11 because my DS4 was begging for IASW "I just love those singing girls." and it was sooooo crowded! You couldn't even begin to push a stroller through there! If you want to ride Dumbo, and some other 'famous' rides, get there early!!

Here is what I found online, I don't really know first hand

busiest on the following days:

* Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday
* Epcot: Tuesday and Friday
* Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday
* Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"

Early Entry days

Epcot- Wed
MK-TH, Sun
AK-Friday, Mon
MGM-Sat, Tue

Many people also warn Early entry days are very busy, and some here swear the best day at any park is the one following an EE day. Of course the one the busiest days info conflicts with the day after EE for MK....

Stay away from any park on an EE Day. Tuesday & Wednesday are touted as the LEAST crowded days for MK. I have always found this to be true.

It is also is a must to get to the MK at opening and get Fantasyland (riding Dumbo first)out of the way first. The late bloomers with the kids in tow start showing up 1-2hours after the park opens and always start there and it goes from fairly quiet to a total bottleneck in a very short time span.

During a recent visit to WDW, our Disney bus driver played a trivia game with the guests on board. One of the questions was "What day of the week is WDW most crowded?" Everyone automatically said, "Sat/Sun". His response was no, Mondays!!
Unfortunately he was right, our Monday (Jan. 5) during this visit was the worst!! It was so bad that we left around 2:00 and went back to the hotel. We couldn't move!

Thanks for all those who replied. It now looks as though we are not going. My husband thinks it will be too crowded. Boo-hoo for me.

Sorry! Maybe you can change his mind? We also hate the crowds and usually avoid peak times for that reason, you can do so much more with lesser crowds. We avoid weekends, but have been to MK, we go early and get done by noon and it has worked for us. Never been on Spring Break though so I'm sure it's really different then.
