When to go to Disneyworld? (least crowded)

Hi! I'm trying to plan a Disney trip with my family but am trying to work it around school. My son is in kindergarten which isn't too big of a deal about him missing a few days...but my daughter is in 5th grade and it would be difficult for her to miss school. I had initially thought about March 31st-April 7th but have read that Easter/Spring Break attendance is really high. My other thought was May 27-June 2nd which would involve part of Memorial Day weekend. I've been in the summer before (JULY) and it was hot and miserable....big crowds/long lines. Definitely don't want to go over summer break. My daughter's last day of school is May 27th so it would only be my kindergartener missing school if we went that week. Would it be less crowded then or is Memorial Day pretty much the same as going Spring Break/EAster.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Odd that the editor messed with the link. wth?

Anyway it's touringplansdotcom

What about Thanksgiving week? Are they off then? Great weather, not as crowded as summer and Christmas stuff up!

Thanksgiving week is probably in the top 3 or 4 for most crowded weeks. The several weeks after however, are among the slowest.

We had a great time and managed to do everything we wanted. It was pretty warm, but could have been much worse..It was in the mid to upper 80's everyday , but it was humid. We only had a couple showers the whole trip. Night were very pleasant.

It was more crowded than I am used too, but we managed just fine by getting to the parks at opening and using Fast pass. We arrived on Sunday of Memorial day weekend. After Memorial day the resort really calmed down.

We did AK on Memorial day it was busy, but we did everything! We even managed to ride EE 5 times with Fast pass. :thumbsup2

MK was busy, but we got a lot done in the morning and then had no problem that evening staking a place out in Liberty Sq by the hall of presidents for the parade. :goodvibes Great location!!

MGM was not too bad at all and Epcot was wonderful!! World Showcase never felt crowded. Rode Soarin twice with FP..>Loved it so much!! :thumbsup2

The only thing I missed about the off season is being able to slow down and relax.... We pretty much hit the parks hard and with the heat and crowds we had to stick to our plans. It paid off cause we did everything and had a blast. My Nephew is begging me to take him back!! ;)

We are going back in December for a few days..I can not wait...I am just pulling DD out of school a few days for this trip.

I am sure things were only going to get more busy as the peak of summer approached...We had fun... :sunny:

Good luck on your decision...I think Touringplans said we would have 7 all week and I believe they were right on. When we go in Dec it is supposed to be 4!!! I hope! :woohoo:
