When to go to disney world (when kids are out of school)

We are going this September with our kids and my son will be missing a week of school. We plan on going again next year with my parents (renting a vacation home), and I don't want to take my son out of school again for it. When would be the best time to go, (when kids would be out of school?)
Spring break, thanksgiving break, xmas break, summer??

I suggest the first week of Christmas break, because there are less crowds and less lines to wait in. Also the temps are fairly nice, from what I've heard. This is when we are going this year.

Sorry to nag, but I would add that a parent's attitude toward family will also stay with a child forever.

I personally want my chilren to know that their father and I value them more than anything else in the world and I love the opportunities we have to spend time with them and show them that. We also value school, so we stress the importance of respecting the teacher and doing our makeup work however and whenever the teacher asks.

We arrived this year on June 4. It was a great time to go. It wasn't crowded, the heat wasn't too bad, and the parks were open late. We plan on going back at that time on our next trip.

Kids don't HAVE to be pulled out of school to know that their parents value them.

We only vacation during school break. We may leave a day or two early, but there's no way I'd allow my son to miss a week of school in order to go on vacation.

My favorite time to visit WDW is spring break. Everything is up and running and the parks are open late.
