Early in the Christmas season shouldn't be too crowded. Also, the weekend AFTER new year: still Christmas season, and no crowds!

thanks for the info sandra, ive really got my heart set on seeing all the christmas things, ive never been to either florida or dlp at christmas before and i really want to!
now ive just gota convince my dad to pay and my boyfriend to come with me!

christmas is my favourite season.
But if you go right before christmas, the crowds are so bad that there is no fun into going.

From the start of the season until early december (and try to avoid the weekends), or after new year has turned out as the best periods to go, out of my experience.

I went with ex-BF from december 10-12. 10th was a Sunday, horrible crowds. On Monday and Tuesday, the park was almost empty!

ive got the dates mon26th nov- wed28th nov or mon3rd dec-wed5th dec in mind!
do the disney hotels get decorated as well/ now thats a whole other decision i have to make, i love them all, but im considering either the sequoia or the new york cos i love them both

Either of those dates should be fine - it will only be really crowded at weekends at that stage, and you're avoiding those. :thumbsup2

The hotels will certainly be decorated ::yes:: Tricky choice between the hotels! I prefer the rooms at HNY, but I also love the lobby/bar of SL, especially done up for Christmas :cloud9:

oooh i cant choose! especially when they will both be all christmassy! ill have too see what the budget can stretch to at the time!
thanks for all the info guys xxx

the christmas season is fab well worth going too especially if you get there when its quiet but my biggest piece of advice is dress for the weather there is a big change in the weather between october and december as we found out we went twice in the same year only 8 weeks apart mad i know but it went from t-shirt weather to thick jumpers extra socks and winter jackets i would say it felt colder than uk but maybe that was just because you were out in it all day long but definately well worth it especially the fantillusion light parade in the evening in the darkness ....... tell your dad if he wishes to adopt anymore children then i am available birthdate can be provided don't mind when he sends me to disneyland paris....if not well i am sure you will have great birthday memories with a present like that:banana:

We went early December last year (3rd - 6th) and there were hardly any crowds. It really put us in a very christmassy mood.

I have got a very similar choice to make, but am hoping that I can persaude DH that my DD and I can visit twice. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

We went mid-end of the last week of november last year and there were some christmas decorations in the hotels, but not loads (HNY). It was busy enough to line a parade route but no serious queues- studios park was dead. Hopefully the new rides should help on that front.

Personally i think a park like disney needs some crowds- we've been late jan and it was eerily quiet and DMum felt uneasy walking back from the Mickey Winter Wonderland (i think that's what it was called) show. It's disney- at christmas- what could go wrong?!?!?!

thanks for all your help everyone, im really getting excited now! im just really hoping i will get to go!!
