We've gone down many a time in October, and usually the weather is great, still hot during the day for swimming and nice in the evenings. Crowds are not large but we tend to go first or second week of October. Christmas time, again we go first or second week of December, right before Christmas WDW starts filling up for the holidays, and the couple of weeks before its like no one is there. Weather is alittle different than October, alittle cooler to down right cold and jackets a must. Either way you can't go wrong, Christmas decorations go up after Thanksgiving or alittle before and you can see all of them in October without all the people. Problem now is the secret is out so attendance seems to be going up around these times missing all the hordes and heat of the summer months. We figured we'ld go in the fall, and there would be less people and children, attending school susposibly, but it not true, tons of children playing hookey.
