When to get to airport...

Hi-ya!
Our trip is right around the corner and here I am getting all the particulars...

Our flight takes off at 0640 from Syracuse...What time do we need to be there prior to the flight. I know it is one of the first flights out...however, I'm not sure...is it still 2 hours or with 1.5 hours before be ok?
Anyone know what time the airport opens? I can't find any of this information on their web site...Glad to see what my tax dollars go torward *rolling my eyes*

Check your airlines website for the hours they operate. The airport maybe open , but that will not do you any good, if the airline is not available to check bags, boarding passes , etc.

Depending on the airline, you can check in up to 24 hours before your flight and then just check your luggage at curbside. If you did that, you could sleep a little bit more and get to the airport an hour or so before your flight. At that time, generally the airports aren't too busy.
