When to fax room request?

Our arrival date is 9/13, when should I fax Disney's Wilderness Lodge room requests?

Is this Touring Plans fax? I read recently that someone was saying very mixed results and often binned and you are better calling in, so I haven't used it.

Reportedly, most resorts, POR Excluded, do NOT review faxed room requests. The Room Assigners look at the requests in the computer which were telephoned in.

I just faxed my room request today and we check in this Sunday. I don't know if it's even necessary - since the requests were added to my reservation and I did online check in - but I've always done it. There was only one time many years ago that we didn't get our requests but we checked in late, around 8:30pm.

I fax my request in about 4-5 days in advance of my trip. I do make sure to also put the requests in over the phone. I know they may not read it, but what is the harm in faxing it in as well just incase? Have a great trip!

I've repaeated read on a facebook page about faxing room requests exactly 10 days prior to check in. I personally never have faxed in a request. I just note at booking a particular room number. Been granted several times.

As other PPs have mentioned, POR - Riverside & FQ may still consider faxed room requests. I had great luck yrs ago with Riverside & as the PP mentioned, faxed it in exactly 10 days before arrival. When I faxed requests to other resorts (eg WL & POP), the front desk advised no request was received when I checked in. If in doubt, fax as well as make your request on online check-in. However, if you have a very serious request (health issue, etc) then def ask your TA to have it noted on your file and/or also call WDW and have it added to your reservation.

Today I learned people still use fax machines.

I heard 5 days, but since i've seen a few 10s I might do it at 10. I already made the request via phone when i booked the trip. Faxing may be a mott point but if it helps why not.

And yes people still use fax machines My business send and receives hundreds a day.
