when to do vow renewal??

Hi all,

DH and I got married in aug 2004 at sunset pointe and well the situation surrounding the wedding wasnt the best and we never had all the things that we wouldnt have wanted, ie my dream dress and little things. I must stress it still was the happoest dy of my life and i could have worn a bin bag, but DH had been really poorly and it was all abit of a rush as we only had 3 months to get it sorted, (he is now in perfect health) So when he was well again, we decided that we would do it again, but properly (how we would want it exactly) My question is do we wait till a special year like our 10th anniversary OR we are planning a trip in 2010. We now have a little boy and think it will be great for him to experience in our magical day he will be 2 1/2 when we go in 2010 so do we wait till he is a bit older? Sorry to ramble on but i just dont know what to do for th best. Please help

Honestly there is no right time to do a VR...it should be when you and your husband feel like it is time to do it again!!!!!! If you both want to have it in 2010 then go for it!!!!!!!

i say if it feels right go for it. Dh and I would love to do a 5 year vow renewal, it may realistically be a 10 year but if I could do 5 i would!

we our planning for our 20th anniversary, but to me a VR can be whenever you and spouse choose, best of luck.

I have heard of couples renewing their vows every yr. Go for when you feel is best.

Our situation was very similar and our little boy will be 2 1/2 as well when we do our vown renewal. It is only our 5 year anniversary but I think that the timing doesn't matter so much because it will truly make you feel at peace to re-live that day with your family (husband and son) and renkindle the romance, love, and magic. Okay, so I know it sounds a little cheesy but I say why wait 10 years!!! Celebrate!

DH and I are planning a VR for June of 2009. It will be our 5 year and it just feels right. DH is actually the one who suggested it.

we are doing one in feb for our 10 yr (well allmost) we have been thru alot and stuck it out.. also we had a well nasty actual wedding ...


If it is what you 2 want that is all that matters.

we got married at wdw in 1997

we went to wdw this last dec for our 10yr anniversary

it started out as a VR, but over the months i decided what i wanted was a SUPER FABULOUS trip for my DD(6), so we just deceided to make it an annivesary/family trip

i arranged several special things to happen throughout the trip & made stuff too.

I say go with what you BOTH really want to do, but i also wanted to let you know that it can be a GREAT trip/anniversary even if you dont do a VR.
