when to do MVMCP? Suggestions

We will just be in WDW from Dec. 11th- Dec. 15th.
We have 3 dates to choose from, the 11th, 12th or the 14th.

At first I was thinking the 11th. We should arrive at the resort around 3pm. I was thinking though I would like a little nap before the party since we will be flying in from Minnesota that morning.
I don't know if that leaves a lot of time to nap, get ourselves ready for the party, eat, and head off for the start of the party.
Plus my other concern is we are flying in and December is unpredictable in Minnesota. I am worried if the planes are grounded or delayed because of a snowstorm, then we won't be able to make it to the party or be REALLY tired.

So I am thinking the 12th might be a better day for us. Are Friday nights really busy? We will be in WDW in less then a month can I just get my tickets for MVMCP then? If yes, where to do I get them? (I am a Disney rookie)

I am thinking if we go to the MVMCP on the 12th, we can maybe check out the Candle procession on the 11th if we are not too tired or maybe just go check out the Osbourne lights.

What would you do? Go for the party on the 11th or wait until the 12th?

Personally I'd choose either the 11th or 14th. Friday nights tend to be the busiest because you get alot of locals. If you're unsure about arriving in time for the 11th, I'd go with the 14th. I know it's late in your trip, but Sunday nite would probably be the least busy of the three.

I have thought about that, but then someone said I shouldn't pick the last day to do the MVMCP, in case it is rained out. Then I would miss it, since we leave on the 15th.

I would be SO disappointed if we missed the MVMCP.

Is it really that busy on Fridays? I am sure it is more busier then Sundays & Thursdays but is it managable?

I would love to go on the 14th but knowing my luck it will rain out & then I lost my chance to go to MVMCP. We never been there for the party & it is one of the reasons we are taking a short trip in December.

Maybe someone whose been on a Friday night can give you a heads up as to the crowds. I've only been on a Sunday night!!!
