We are looking at doing our first cruise either in Oct or Dec.
What is the weather like? Is it warm enough in Dec to still enjoy the beaches? Also what is the christmas season like on the ship? The other question is 4 d vs 7 d. Any help is welcome.
Thanks :boat:

I just took a 4 day cruise last dec (12-16th) ....The weather at CC was beautiful...although some say the water was a bit cool. I didigo for a dip and it was fresh....You see I come from canada and what I consider warm might not be the same for you. Alot of people were in the water and doing many water sports. Nassau was nice and warm hi 70s.

We are looking to go again in oct 2006 (cheaper for us) cannot say if it will be that warmer maybe by a couple degrees. If you can afford a 7d cruise go for it. The experience was unbeleivable and I would love to do one someday....I just can't go to orlando without a little WDW.....

Hope it helped you in your decision making. Have a great time planning.

Btw, no motion sickness!!! we had the wrist bands and the bonine...didn't need them.

one thing to also consider is that October is right in the middle of hurricane season. Some years, this isn't a problem, other years, it becomes THE problem. Just food for thought.

Kelley is right--October is hurricane season in the Carribean.

However, we were on the Western cruise in late October (after ther worst hurricane season in recent memory), and the weather was perfect. The bottom line is, you can't plan for hurricanes, and they are unlikely to happen, so don't try and plan for them!! If one happens, and it destroys the cruise, I expect Disney will re-book you on another cruise.

We've not been on the DCL in December, so I can't really compare.

My family and I did a Disney cruise in December of 2000. The weather was perfect but the water was cool. When we first got in to snorkle I was wondering what I was doing in the water. Once we started swimming through the snorkle course we got use to it. It all depend on your tolerance level.

The ship is beautiful in December with all the decorations. It's worth going just for that.

Thanks Everyone for your input.I think we will do the end of Oct. I wish We could go in the summer but dollar wise value season is it for us.
Thanks
