I have a "package" reservation currently with zero park days. I think my sister and I will want 3 day passes and my daughter and grandson 4 day passes. IF I want to do LL I assume I will need to have tickets linked to my MDE beforehand? Can I make LL without having purchased a park entry ticket? If I can not, then waiting until arrival day to buy our park tickets isn't a good idea is it? No one is buying a MB, we are going old school with the card. If I buy the park tickets ahead of time will quest services at our resort link them to our key card?

THX for any help!
Lord, I've been to WDW many, many times and still need help!

First everyone on a package that has tickets included requires everyone in the room to have the same package features including the same lenght of ticket days.

No to purchase LL, you need to have tickets. No you don't want to wait until you arrive to purchase your LL your initial selections unless you don't care about your choice of attractions, and times. Yes you can get a RF ticket that you can use in place of a MB. You can also use your MDE app on your phone to open your Guest room door.

Doubtful it's considered a package reservation then - a package inherently contains tickets. If you have no tickets, you should have just a room-only.
No you can have a "ticketless" package. There are different deposit requirements, final payment dates, and different cancellation times.

A package only requires a $200 deposit while a Room Only reseration requires a (1) night depost.

Had no idea that was possible....thanks for the information.

Question about a package…
If a last minute guest decides to join you on check in day, do they have to get the same amount of days of tickets?
Not sure if one of my sisters is going, it will be a last minute decision on her part. And she would only stay a short part of the trip.

No, not if the guest is added at/after you check-in. Just be aware the additional guest will not have access to any LLMP/LLSP that you pre-booked 7+ days earlier.

This might also happen to me. My daughter wants to ask my stepson who lives on the Gulf side of FL to join us for a day to help celebrate my grandson's b-day. I think if I do buy thru 3 rd party it shouldn't matter. BUT, I may add the 4 tickets to my package, and if I do CAN SOMEONE answer me:

If the 5 of us enter with our 3 rd party tickets and 4 of them are linked to MDE can my stepson take my phone with "MY" LL to ride while I sit.

First your 3rd party tickets are real Disney tickets, you just bought them from a 3rd party.

Officially no your stepson should not use your Phone with your LL to enter an attract. However the CM at the tap point will not care.

You really should get RF Cards at the park entrance. The CMs have lots of them in the morning. And you should find the RF Cards are actually faster than your smartphone.

That way you can keep your smartphone to take pictures or communicate with the rest of your party.

Where exactly would the RF cards be? Guest services or right at entry?
Thx for info!

Actually the CM at the gate tap points normally have handfuls of them in the morning but yes you can stop by Guest Services or even at your resort Front desk. They really don't like the lines to backup at the front gate.
