When to buy airfare to Vancouver?

We booked today! I was able to get some incredible fares on WestJet. I was open to toggling our dates a few days before and after. We're flying in on the Saturday before, we'll have all day Sunday in Vancouver, then we're flying home on Tuesday so we'll have all day Monday on the other side of the trip after we disembark. We were able to get $330 per person round trip on WestJet out of Austin (well, it's Delta to LAX and then WestJet from there). So excited!

Wow - that sounds like a great price! I've been looking at them too since we're going at the end of June. I usually fly Southwest, but I'm concerned that if I wait, there won't be that much of a difference to make it worthwhile and the other fares will just increase. I need to spend some time on this. When I looked the other day, the return times were bleh - either too early or way too late.

Yes, this was our problem which is why we're staying an extra day in Vancouver and flying out on Tuesday.

8/8/16 here too, but I have no advice as I plan to book southwest since we have enough points for all to fly on awards. I am planning to tour Vancouver for several days ahead of cruise and Seattle several days after. We are now debating about also squeezing in Portland because dh's sister has moved there! Can't wait!!!
