So how far out do people usually book? We are going about mid August but our first week we will stay on Universal and then move over to Disney around the 24th....so it's a little over 10 months till our trip. If I book it and either free dinning or a room discount comes up can I get them to apply it to our booking? Thanks for the help! :cool2:

Yes, if you book now and free dining (or another discount) comes out for your dates, you can call and have it applied to your current reservation. With that said, having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied as there has to be availability under that promo with the resort/room type you have booked. Disney releases discounts to fill rooms with only a limited number of rooms available, so sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort in order to take advantage of a discount. One other thing to keep in mind is if you book room only now and want to change to a package later (i.e., free dining), the room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit as money paid toward one cannot be transferred to the other (same goes for going from a package to a room only reservation). HTH :).

I go the week after Thanksgiving and book the week or so after I return. Give me a long time to pay it off.

The last four years I have been able to apply discounts after I booked with no problem.
