When to book?

We are doing a grand gathering in June 2013. I've heard there might be some kind of a promo/pins that comes out in Nov or so for that time frame. I'm wondering if we should book our room now andadd the package later, or just wait until the codes/pins come out. I think we're going to need about 5 rooms (20 people) and we'd like some to be connecting (I know they can't guarantee that they will be though). We want to stay POR if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Since you have a large party with specific resort request and dates, I'd suggest making an initial package reservation. It can be modified later if/when promotions are released for that time frame - assuming the promotion is available for your dates and resort and room type. They won't guarantee connecting (interior door between rooms) or even adjoining, but you can request. A room-only reservation made now would in actuality need to be canceled and re-booked as a package to take advantage of a promotion for a package. That said, a room-only discount could be applied if that became available and was what you wanted.

I always book early and adjust if possible.

I believe they've discontinued the grand gathering's program though.
