When this board was set up....

at the start of the war, I thought it would be filled with alot of doom and gloom.

However, I have learned so much from this board and gained so much insight into military life from here, that I'd really like to thank all of you for sharing your stories, family's lives and opinions over the last few weeks.

Because of this board, I now have an active part in this war - praying many times a day for the troops, sending care packages, and caring about our military as indivudial people with families, rather than just as a group, if that makes any sense.

Thanks to all who participate here, and thanks to the DIS for setting this board up for us.

Have passed this board too many times but today I came looking for info. about sending care packages and did a search on the Dis (my favorite place to find any info. not just Disney info.) and lo and behold most of the search results brought me here. Thanks for setting this up. Our family has adopted a soldier and I have learned more here today on what and how to send than in all of the past month thru' other resources.

I have really enjoyed getting involved with sending care packages to our military personnel. I would never have known about it if twinmom7 hadn't posted about it on this board.

Patty, Twinmom7, also brought the war and her son Bobby to us on a very personal level. We have gained so much by this experience. While it's been a terrible one for the military personnel and the people in Iraq, there has been a positive change in our family because of it.
