When the new codes come out, can we just call and ask for whatever the best rates are or do we need to know a specific code?

If I'm on hold at 7am, how will I know which code to use?

Ok where are the code veterans?

There must be something in my wording. this is the 3rd post I've had no replies.

You will need to know the code, just check mousesavers.com that's a very good resource for codes rates. Don't expect to see codes for your May trip until at least late Jan, that's when codes valid for last year for the same time period became available.

Yes, you have to know your codes. They don't help you out at all, unless you are simply getting a discount using AAA or Disney Club. You can find codes at Mousesavers.com when available. I usually write down all that will pertain to my time frame, and ask about each and every one of them.

Will mousesavers post them that quickly? If I'm on hold with them at 7am the day they come out, how will I know?

I remember the frenzy this last time the codes came out. Everyone was on the phone right when CRO opened.

If it is the day they come out....Mousesavers will have to have time to actually post them on the website....So, the actual day that they come out you probably won't know them until later. Unless you know a TA who is willing to give you the info as soon as they recieve it....

I don't think you need to worry about calling at 7:00. There's a frenzy on these boards just because we all get excited about the hunt...for good rates.:D

This past month when the new codes came out I checked Mousesavers at a little before 7:00 am and they were already posted!

Thanks for the help BCV.

I have 9 nights at AKL concierge (2 rooms) right now but really want to split with the Poly.

Don't think I can do that unless I get a good code rate. Can put up another hefty deposit to add Poly at this moment. Hopefully they'll have rooms at the poly when the codes for May come out and I can do the split then and only have about a $500 deposit to put up.

I agree that it's not a necessity to be on the phone at 7:00am. I called 2 or 3 days later to switch my CBR reservation for December when the codes came out in July with no problem. When they closed and I decided to move to BWI with an AP rate, I called 2 or 3 weeks after the AP rates came out and got it. The AP rate turned out to be $6 a night less at CBR and $10 at BWI and they came out after the code rates.

I have heard, that depending on who you
book through-if you cancel one reservation
for another-if you took the cancellation insurance-
it may not be refunded.

I think it depends on the particular resort and type of room when deciding when to call. The deluxe resorts probably sell out more quickly. I called at 10:00 am the day the codes came out and Poly Lagoon Concierge was already gone for my dates in December. That's why I was on the phone at 7:00 am the day the AP rates came out.
p.s. I got it!!!

I booked Poly LV for Oct with a code and didn't call at 7:00 so maybe it depends on the dates. Couldn't book Sugar Loaf concierge for Dec. with a code because the codes ended the 15 or 21? and we're going the 24th. When AP rates came out, I snagged those for both res but again didn't call at 7:00.

Praise2Him...our two vacations must coincide...I need to figure out how to do a clock thingie! I can hardly wait!
