So true. Look, we have a vaccine for the seasonal flu. Some years it's 60-70% effective, other years it's more like 30% effective. Viruses mutate rapidly. By the time they produce, distribute, and administer the vaccine, the strain of virus circulating could have changed.For folks waiting for a vaccine... nothing is guaranteed.
They’ve been looking for a HIV vaccine for 40 years.
It's a better shot that they'll find some medication that is worthwhile at treating the disease, as we have with Tamiflu and Xofluza for the flu or the numerous antivirals that we have for HIV.
