When Target 90%

I went to our Target this morning for some desperately needed razors for DH...In sticking to our 2009 budget plan I swore I wouldn't involve myself with the after Christmas sale... I just sort of swung by that part of the store to see what was what :rolleyes1 It was 90% off...I don't know how long it has been that way but it looked like the store was attacked by savages! I scurried away quickly...The good news is I managed to find a very neat Schick Quattro Titanium razor gift set...It had the razor, 4 blades, 2 AAA duracell batteries, an alarm clock and 2 luggage tags for under $5.00:banana: ! Then I was checking out the Clearance end caps when I noticed a 2 pack of Dishwashing liquid...one was the really big bottle of Dawn and it was with an apple spice scented one...It said 'holiday' pack on it..:confused3 so I scanned it...it was .49!!!!!..They had one other on the shelf so I made a subtle but mad dash to get the other one...
I proudly left Target with my much needed razors and 4 big bottles of dish soap spending a total $6.26...:thumbsup2

I flew into Target today to get prizes for the Kids who turned in their Optional Homework packets. But I started off looking for the Christmas Clearance, only to find there was nothing left. But, I know what to look for and where. So I ended up K'nex sets, Phlat Balls, Princess lip gloss and Burts Bee's Gift sets. The tous will be great prizes fo DS's Birthday and the Burts Bees sts will make great Teacher's Gifts!! I left paying $14.36!! What a deal!!

That's the kind of stuff I'd love to find. I remember one year I found the holiday Kleenex and some of that press n seal stuff at 90% off. I love when I actually find useful things.

You're lucky. I couldn't find any Holiday deals at all. The Target brand Kleenex boxes with Christmas tress on them were still scanning $2.09, the holiday garbage bags were $6.50, the paper plates, napkins, crackers, cookies, Rice Krispie treats...(all in special holiday packages) were scanning the regular price. I took them to the register to see if they would adjust and they said that they are not allowed to over-ride the prices. If they don't scan Christmas, they're not part of the clearance. :sad2:

I did go to a second Target last night with my DD and ended up spending another $14.89 all of which was 90% off. I think that I've got enough gifts for my DD's teachers next year (she has 20+ including therapists, aids, teachers...)

I know what you mean. I scanned the Christmas tissues, the Method Holiday Handsoaps and a couple of other 'holiday' things and they were not ringing up at 90% either. I was really hoping all the Christmas pajamas would scan at 90% but they were only like 30% off..:confused3

How funny you guys say that... same here! I always read on here the great deals people get on paper goods, trash bags, etc etc... NEVER at ANY of my FOUR targets by me!!! LOL!

The kleenex were just put by normal kleenex.. NORMAL price!

finally 90% at my store also. I got there at 8:30 and not many people but they came quickly after. I didn't grab one or two things I thought of and when I circled they were gone. That's ok. I did get 2 six ft trees for $2.40 each, a necklas, 2 15 ft extension cords for .29 each and tape for .20 a roll. Always need that!

Oh yeah....90% in the heart of Virginia this am.

:goodvibes

Where's the heart of VA? Are you talking Lynchburg? Is that close to the center? :lmao:

Me, I shopped in Richmond, VA. Actually, the Midlothian turnpike store. Finally 90% off, and everything was flying. I saw a 9 foot $350 tree for $35 which was tempting but my Christmas tree is fine. I did get the Hannah Montana stockings which I wanted. The snowglobe as gone, but I did get a HSM one. Got some candy, treats, and a few more ornaments. Oh, and the new American Girl movie. Spent $44 altogether.

Central Kentucky, too .. after being told it would go to salvage yesterday. LOL.

I didn't get much .. but what I lack in quantity, I made up for in quality. ;)

2 pre-lit trees (4.5 feet, regularly $69.99 each)
4 express games (Sorry (2), Monopoly, Clue)
2 etch-a-sketches
3 oobi balls
container shatterproof ornaments
glittery snowflakes
advent calendar
something else I'm forgetting ..

I spent $25.

I hit the Target 90% sale yesterday and according to my reciept I saved $109.70. We paid 18.01 and that included a Rubbermaid tote that cost 5.49.

Our haul:

28 gift bags (my husband hates to wrap with paper/work gifts for next year)
2 6ft christmas trees (one for white elephant at work, one for the dog to
play under)
2 packs of tissue paper
2 gift tag packs
1 bag of bows
and a roll of Camp Rock wrapping paper! Totally wrapping my SiL's gift in it next year...
:woohoo:

Went to our Target today and it was all junk. I did pick up a few cute jingle ornaments that rang up 19 cents. When I showed the kids them, they informed me that they all said Babys First Christmas 2008:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Time to get myself to the eye doctor.

Gosh, are you me? This is something I would totally do!! LOL :rotfl:

90% finally today. Not much of anything left (except for this one fake tree that apparently no one liked - there were about 25 boxes of them there! LOL) .. I managed to get a small 3 ft tree for my kids loft upstairs $2.50, 10 boxes of 9 ft lighted garland for .99 each... and one ornament making kit for .25. Spent about $12.00, Saved $120...!

Not to change topics... but I then went over to Walmart and was floored  at the amount of stuff there!! It's 75% right now.. tons and tons of lights, ornaments, stockings, trees (in the garden area) and lots of gift bags... good deals to be had there..!

My Target was finally 90% off today !! I picked up Giany Gift Bags which was the thing I really neede at 39c each 2 packs of cards 10c each and some candy canes for 19c . My DD threatened me not to bring home anymore ornaments and they didn't have any lights left. I didn'tnotice Toys on sale !! I will have to check that out ! On Sunday they were still 30% off !!
