For those who have gone to WDW with another family and stayed at a 2 bedroom villa how do you decide who gets the king bed? We have some friends that might go with us this summer and I thought about splitting the cost of a villa, but then I wondered how to decide where everyone sleeps?

Well, this was my original plan...My sister's family, our mom and my family were going to stay in 3 rooms at AS's with me and my sister splitting the cost in half since some of our children would be sleeping in grandma's room. Then I got hip to renting DVC points from an owner and thought for just $200 more for the week, we could all stay at OKW Grand Villa and I was going to offer to pay an extra $100 so that me and my husband could get the master suite. I thought that would be fair since I was making all the arrangements anyway.

Well...my sister's family has since bowed out of the whole vacation plan so that my niece can have a Sweet 16 party. (She obviously doesn't know that Disney is WAY better than a party, but that's not my call.) So we're staying with a 2 bedroom villa and I'm still paying more that our original plan, but we'll make up for it in savings on our meal expenses.

Sooooo, I would suggest that maybe you offer to pay a little more of the cost so you can get dibs on the jacuzzi!

we are doing the 2 bedroom villia at the boardwalk and my parents are paying more then us and getting the master....we'll have the lock-off unit and my aunt will stay in the pull-out in the living room area...we are all treating her.....after all she gets stuck witht he couch....so I suggest the same....whoever gets the master should pay a little extra.

We'll be staying in a VWL 2 bdrm with my inlaws this fall. They didn't mind not having the master - as we are saving them so much by ditching their original ressies in the Lodge where they were paying so much more - and now they have have use of the kitchen and living room. If it were friends of ours I doubt they would mind letting us have the master since we have the DVC membership - if we weren't DVC'rs- I think whoever got the master would feel funny not paying slightly more.
