Just wondering....talking to someone and they said that Star Wars is set to open during Star Wars cruise. This is after the movie opens in theaters so I'm thinking they are incorrect. I can't imagine Disney would hold such a popular movie past it's on land premier date. I've just never heard of that. On the other hand, I know these Star Wars themed cruises are very popular....just wondering what others thoughts were.

I have read that on here and on other sites also. I also read that it is only gong to be on the Fantasy Star Wars cruises. I don't believe it either - we will have to see.

All ships will show the new Star Wars movie beginning at approximately midnight on 12/17. I can see them playing Star Wars on board for quite a while.

The Star War Cruises are different. They will dedicate an entire day to Star Wars to include costumes and should include characters. I would also figure DCL will show the movie numerous times during the cruises.

How many days do you think we will see another Star Wars movie thread on here? I say three days seems like every three days there is a new thread here on Star Wars

I am sailing on the Fantasy the 19, and DCL has confirmed it will be shown on our cruise.

I am on the dec 12th cruise and have direct confirmation from DCL that STAR WARS WILL be playing.
Waiting for them to give us the playing times.

You won't know that until you are onboard. The times will be listed outside the Buena Vista Theater and in the Navigator.

That's good to hear. I'm on a Dec. 12 sailing on the Fantasy. I called them in the morning, and the rep I talked to read off some list that didn't have Star Wars. Everything else I'd read online said we would be seeing it on board.

I am on the Dec 14-18 Dream cruise. Every few months since we booked I have emailed to DCL and asked if they knew if Star Wars would PremEar on our cruise.

The last time I wrote, several days ago, they replied back and said it would PremEar on the 17th. Specific times would be available in the Personal Navigator on board.

We will be there even if we have to miss dinner ! :-)

Our November Dream Cruise featured both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. It was fun to see them on the big screen, because I hadn't done so in years. No Empire Strikes Back, maybe because it doesn't have a happy ending…

Save me a seat :)

It's confirmed happening!

Lol, for sure. I believe it PremEars at midnight. If so, it'll likely just be me at that midnight showing. My kids are too young to stay up that late, but I've seen every Star Wars movie in a theater and I've got no desire to break that streak now. I wouldn't mind company. :)

We're on the Magic in February. I wonder if it will still be playing onboard then?? Not big Star Wars fans so we could just wait until then if it's still playing. We don't have to see it the first day. LOL!

Lol Im going during Spring Break at the end of March and am hoping that its still playing on board :)

I can pretty much guarantee the new Star Wars movie will be playing at least through the summer. They tend to keep movies onboard, especial popular ones, a very long time.

The PremEars start a minute after midnight, so you won't have to miss dinner.

I'm sailing on the Wonder on December 18th and it's confirmed to be playing on that cruise! Don't worry!
