i am having trouble deciding when to go for my next visit to DLR and I would love your thoughts. I have reservations ar a hotel in Anaheim for a 4 day long weekend just after Easter- prime spring break time. DH is pretty take it or leave it as far as DLR goes so he's no help, DD15 is not too into traveling anywhere with just family ("I'd rather be with my friends, Mom") but DS12 is my partner in Disney fandom and is dying to go back. In fact, he and I went alone last July.

So here are my questions:
- am I insane for considering a trip the weekend after Easter? I'm not a crowds fan but I do use an ECV in the parks so that makes lines a little less daunting.
- do you think there will be less crowded weeks this summer? If I plan ahead I can go mid-week. Touring plans is currently showing most of the summer as hectic.
- should I just drag DD15 along or is that just asking for it? She is usually really good natured, unless she is hungry. I can also see if she has a friend who wants to go but seems like a lot of folks already have spring break plans.

We would drive in from the SF Bay Area so we have until the hotel cancellation window to decide. If we lived in SoCal I would grab DS and go for a day but no luck there. Sigh..

Thanks in advance!

There are always less crowded days during the summer but it's hard to predict when they will be.

Is it in your budget to stay at the DLH or GCH? If so, I know that the early entry every day is a great way to get a lot done first thing. Then you'd have time in the busier afternoon to check out the great pool areas and give your hubby a little down time to relax and enjoy the resort amenities.

I think it would be awesome to try to recruit a friend to accompany your daughter! How much fun would two teenage girls have running around through the parks!? And you'd be able to dedicate some time to your Disney fan son. Maybe arrange to meet back up for a meal and discuss all the fun you've had so far.

Have fun planning!
