When should I try to get PS for LTT

DS14 and I will be eating there one evening at MK but we are not interested in the Spectro. When should I try to get a PS in order not to be involved with the parade? Is it done every night?

No, the parade is not done every night. Here is a link that may help you, provided you are going to the parks in Nov, Dec or Jan.

Parade And Park Hours

If you are not going to the parks during those times, you can at least look at the parade times to give you a general idea of when the parade is held in relation to park closing.
