When should I start taking the Bonine/ how often?

I don't know if I or my family will be seasick, as it's our first cruise.

I sometimes get sick if I'm in the backseat of a car and I can't take spinning rides at carnivals....

Should someone take it as a precaution?:confused3

I sound like you. I get motion sick in backseats, if I try to read anything anywhere in a car, and on some rides. I'm fine when I fly. On my first (only) cruise, I started taking Bonine the night before and every night of the cruise. I did just fine. It's possible I would have done fine without it, but I didn't want to take any chances.

I also recommend taking it the day before your cruise, and every single day during your cruise. We taken ours at breakfast, but none of us have the drowsy side-effect from it. None of us have ever had trouble with sea-sickness or vertigo after the cruise is over.

It's a fact that you're better off, and it's easier, to prevent motion sickness in the first place, than to treat it once it hits you.

I have to say that THIS is the best tip that I ever learned before taking our first cruise 9 years ago. :sunny:
