When should I make reservations?

Alrighty my dates our from nov. 7th-15th. I'm from florida so I researched last years codes and the room only discount should be coming out around august. Should I wait to see if theres a discount code for me or should i do it sooner. keep in mind that when i do book i'm going to be very specific about the POR mansion and room. what should i do?

This is a very busy time in Disney-Book now. It's Jersey Week, the food and wine festival and I think its veterans day in there.
