We will be going to WDW the day after Thanksgiving, 2004. When would you make the reservation? I was thinking after February (maybe they might offer the come back rate again?)... We are planning on AKL Concierge (for some if not all of the trip).

What do you think? I have an AP. I know it doesn't hurt to make them now, but if they offer the come back rate, then it might be easier to wait it out...

Thanks,

Karen

You could make the reservation now and only pay 1 nights deposit and if a better deal comes up you will get the deposit back when you cancel that one.
I have my trip for Sept 04 reserved and did that back in Oct.
I also have an AP and will get three trips out of it. A total of 24 days.

Go ahead... you'll feel better.

I always make my ressies as soon as I know my dates, then when disounts come out I have them modified that way I know I have the room.

I already have my ressie for the week after Thanksgiving 2004 booked with aaa discount. DH & I also have AP's, so we will definately be watching for a better deal when the time draws near!

You're sure to have no regrets that way. Better deal comes along, change your ressie.

I agree with everyone else. We have our October reservations made with the AAA rate and will change if something better comes along. It just makes me feel better having them made already. On the other hand we get ourselves set on a certain resort and refuse to change places even if a better rate doesn't come along.

I just made them with the AAA rate. WOW, that is ALOT of money! I just hope the AP rates come out, if not, we will split it down, possibly. At least it is made.

Karen,
Good for you! We actually stayed at AKL concierge the starting the day after Thanksgiving this year. Have you thought about doing the sunrise safari? That is the only reason we could force ourselves to put out that money for a room (no discount for us) it was awesome! Except for the baby who cried from the bus ride over to Ak until breakfast.

Pam

Oh yes! We are definitely doing it! It will be me, dh, ds (8), dd (6) and dd (4). They all love animals, LOVE AK, and extra love AKL! We have stayed on the concierge level once before for 2 nights (actually were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite!) and loved it. With a family of 5, if you take two Value rooms at about $180/nt total, it isn't that much more to upgrade to concierge (ok, ok, some more, but under $100 more, lol)... AND we use the beverages to our advantage!

I can't wait for the Sunrise Safari! Anyone have any recent reviews on it? Breakfast afterwards? Is that very good?

THANKS!

Karen :bounce: :bounce:
